Taken down the road from the Manatee Viewing area January 10th 2014. I usually don't see many raccoons in the swamp while out hiking. Every once in a while they will come out looking for a handout though. If you look at the reflection in his eyes, you can see an image of the bay and where I took the picture "Tampa from across the bay" He was looking in that direction.

Alex, I love raccoons as much as I love the gators - I've always found them to be fascinating animals and quite intelligent - great capture of that guy!!!

The masked bandit - they sure are smart and can open garbage cans easily. We have some really good size ones here
