Back in October 2005 took this picture I took a picture of two palm trees on the banks of the Hillsborough river that looked somewhat like a lollipop in the evening light. Here's the same palms 9 years later. It's somewhat surprising they are still there, palms along the river usually become uprooted and fall into the water being that their root system isn't designed to support them in the sandy soil. Most of the river bank hundreds of years ago was old growth cypress trees much like you see in Louisiana. Much of the mentioned cypress was cut down during the turn on the century and hauled away.

Alex, I like how it goes from dark to light, and how it draws the eye into the image. Nice sharp, imagery. tigs=^..^

Very nice lighting and it looks like the trees and the other foliage are flourishing (as opposed to the other photo).

Alex, I've compared the image given by your above link with this, recently taken, one and see that even in nature there's some progression.
See too that the prediction given by Raj on your previous post hasn't become true. See by your narrative that you was surprised to a certain extent that the palms are still there. Another proof that nature is unpredictable.

Anyhow a fine image again my friend!
