There's an old saying about a rolling stone gathering no moss, but apparently a swimming turtle can and Your photo proves it, Alex. I've never a turtle with this much moss attached to his shell but I guess it would allow him to hide from predators very nicely. A lovely image. Fav'd

Never seen anything like that before - dirt and stains yes - but so much moss?. Nice and rare shot.

Alex, I've said it before: you've a very keen eye for these (amazing!) subjects.

Have never seen a turtle with an, on his shield, integrated soccer field.

Please inform me when the world championship turtle soccer will start. I'll be there, lol!

That's an amazing shot of the turtle Alex - I would never think that moss could grow on the turtle's back - he's definitely a product of his environment getting all that light and heat needed for the moss to grow - Great and Most Interesting Capture!!!!!!!!!

I like the latest attire in Turtle wear Alex. Clone in a moss turtle neck, and you are good to go.
