There was a buzz recently about a video of a monster alligator that was filmed about 20 miles from us. Some speculated it was fake but many have said he is real and has been a resident in the area for a while. A friend of mine who grew up in the Everglades made the comment, that I agree with, that the younger gators are more dangerous because they have more to prove, but the big guys have seen and did it all and just want to be left alone. That doesn't mean you shouldn't stay clear of them, just that if given space they won't bother you as seen in the video. There was a bigger gator than he taken from about a mile from us years ago. This photo was taken at Lettuce Lake in 2013 and is 100 time smaller.

Cool pic, and I have to say I'm happy I don't have things like that in my back yard. ;)

Oh what a 'cute' and 'adorable' critter, Alex. Love the smile (or is it a grin?) on it's face.
It's somewhat to young to give it a hug. Give it another try when it has become an adult, ☺ .

Excellent capture, my friend!

PS: thanks for the link.Even our local newspaper showed a picture of this huge gator. Very amazing!

I like the blue water and green floating leaves that add to this wonderful "portrait!"

I saw the big one on TV too, emerging slowly from the side. Very nice shot of this younger specimen. Good colors and focus.
