I wanted to submit this for Manic Monday yesterday, but as The Wings song goes "The kettle's on the boil, and we're so easy drawn away." This was taken on my patio a couple of days ago. I thought it was whimsical and I wonder if he thought it was real and had a bodyguard. A co-worker gave me this plastic toy that I spotted under a tree by his home in a habitat that would be perfect for a guy like this. I thought the local kids would have stolen it the first week, but I've had it over 10 years now, and it does a good job at keeping the squirrels away. :) Side note: These are very common lizards (Anoles) and the brown variety displayed here comes from Cuba and has threatened the local green anole population.

The little lizard is so cute! It's funny that he is in the same pose as the "king!"

No chance Alex - see a real big brother in my post today. The lizard would have looked more real if the eye and nostrils were not red.

Alex, although the 'king' is a plastic one, I think to see by its attitude that the lizard still shows respect and awe.
It has taken certainty above uncertainty by climbing on the 'king's' back instead to look straight into its eyes, ☺ .
