Not quite sure, but this may be an immature snowy egret. Taken at Lettuce Lake Park April 2017.

He does look like a youngster Alex - great shot and clarity - that egret looks as though he's on to something - Great Capture at Lettuce Lake!!!!!!!

Almost looks like a cross between a blue heron and egret Alex. Really nicely captured.

Must be a not that experienced youngster, Alex, because it's looking in the wrong direction for fish, ☺ ☺ ☺ .

Perfect 'portrait' however. Love the difference in contrast in colors (egret and water). Very well taken, my friend!

I don't know, but I would guess that he/she has turned her head to listen to your presence to make sure of his/her safety. I hope that food will shortly be found by our feathered friend, shortly. Wonderful capture.
