Elephant ears!

This is slightly manic. Back when I was living in Detroit, our neighbour's yard in the back had become overgrown. I snuck back there for a brief moment and retrieved two elephant ear plants and held them while my mum took a photo. It was unusual to see them that large. My mum said if your grass comes to seed you should be ashamed, in other words, take care of your property and cut the grass! This was about 1988 or so, and that would make me 19!

Beautiful and interesting work. Thanks for the story, too.

I don't think Detroit ever recovered from the elephant ears, Alex.
Good photo.

Alex, thought at first sight that your late Mum has captured 'Tarzan' (without Jane), ☺ .

To a certain extent a funny capture with some manic ingredients.
Good one for Manic Monday, my friend!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
