This morning, I was in the living room on my laptop and I heard something that I had noticed before in the silence. We have two clocks, one in the living room, and one in the kitchen. When they tick and tock, the delay between the two has the same timing as a normal heart sinus rhythm. So, you can barely make out TICK-tock TICK-tock. I was going to save this for Manic Monday, but I guess Whacky Wednesday will have to do. Forgive the organised chaos on the bulletin board. :)

There is actually a science to this. I understand if you have several grandfather clocks against a wall, their pendulums will synchronize with each other. It has to do with small vibrations in the wall.

Alex, your narrative reminds me of this story: there are three clocks. One runs perfectly on time. The other is two minutes behind. The last one is defective.
If the computer is asked to determine which is the best, the solution is: 1. The one that runs exactly on time. 2. The one who is defective, because it gives the correct time twice a day. 3. The one who walks two minutes behind, because he never indicates the correct time, ☺ .
Whether it's a Manic Monday or Wacky Wednesday contribution, doesn't matter, because it's a good one for both, my friend.
