Straight away, I am not comparing our chilly temps with the brutal winter weather that's been ravaging most of the mid west and beyond. I took this photo about an hour ago whilst at Lettuce Lake park. The sun was blurred out a bit by clouds so I used this effect to add a soft focus to the shot and also dialing my exposure way down. All the black specks to the upper right of the photo are birds circling around. I pray that those who are experiencing the brunt of this potential deadly storm stay safe! I am from the north, and maybe once as a kid been through a storm such as this, it's nothing to play with. Stay warm everyone!!

What is totally surprising about this capture, is that the moment I viewed it, I felt like I was almost there. Tremendous lighting and contrasts, a stunning scene. Your talent with the configuration of the technical aspects worked beautifully. Favorite!

Great view, perfectly captured by you, Alex. An image with a mixed feeling: on the one hand a very moody one, but on the hand it creates and exudes a certain sense of indefinability as well. S+F! Thanks for sharing this beauty, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Lovely quiet night shot, Alex...I like the slight moon reflection in the water and the last vestiges of light seen in the sky...nicely done.

LOL! That's actually our sun in the photo. It does look like the moon though.
