I had to share one last final photo of me on the motorcycle. Yes, it's a blessing to have one photo of your youth, Yes I am fortunate they weren't burned in a fire or destroyed in a flood etc. We were a pure working class family. We didn't have a lot of money, but valued what we had hence the photos you see. Some may have thrown them out or stored them where they would get damaged and so on. I always remember eating very well along with the rest of the family, warm clothes on our backs and some nice toys. Sorry for the tangent, but I strongly feel that even though you may not have wealth and advantages doesn't mean you can't make the best of everything you have. Quick note: The white paper on the tree is telling residents that the street sweeper will be by on the date posted and to make sure you move your car. As a kid, we used to collect these afterwards as a treasure somewhat. I wish I still had one, but they disintegrated quickly. I also remember the testing of the civil defence sirens going off on the 1st Saturday of the month, and dogs howling for miles around. Finally, as you can imagine, me and the Romanian girl weren't having any of this excitement. I vaguely remember how upset I was having the helmet placed on my head. My brother (right) also had to come by for this shot. Just think, this is what life was like before social media, had to make your own fun.
Wonderful post. You looked like an Evel Knievel wannabe!
