Everytime i try to do this, the stars are dark...i think i'm doing it at the wrong time...or maybe it's b/c of the lights comming off the city. I like this shot though, good job.

Interesting subject and presentation. I'd love to see this covering the whole desktop without framing...but that's just me :) The bushes in the foreground are nicely silhouetted. And that pink color is magnificent. I'm not sure what's going on..but I like it! keep up the good work :))

I'm going to be just browsing for images for awhile..I guess I'll be lurking. I need this break-to catch up on things.

You have an incredibly steady hand...LOL. I agree with bunnyslippers. I would like to see the image without the heavy borders. Still, it's a great capture. Nicely done.

Very interesting and so well executed. It's just amazing. I don't find much to complain about.. I don't know if you tweak your images with ps but the colours could be even stronger.

Oh btw, your current cindex is 15:100....the cindex score can be very random at times, and just ignore it if it seems wwaaayyy off..like now. :-)

15??? I gave it a 6/10 and felt really bad the second I clicked OK. If I was sure this was an actual photograph and not something done in one of those fractal programs, I would have given it at least an 8 and I give 8 or above to only really the best ones.

The only thing I would change is I would put it a little off-center. That is I would make the left border wider and the right one narrower.

Well thanks for all the wonderful comments! I did indeed increase the contrast and decrease the brightness a bit in PS to compensate for the scanning. But other than that its original.

Miran: Another take on that would be moving it to the left third of the picture, this way it would balance out with the tree in the bottom right. All I can say is that its very hard to see anything but the brightest stars in the lens of a camera at 12:00am! haha.
