Originally, a friend sent a small picture of this to me. Being captivated by it, I was persistent enough to hunt down someone who might know which spacecraft it came from. The gentleman who I contacted gave me the full resolution picture complete with the fact that it was from the SOHO spacecraft (Unfortunately, the original picture email was lost with time, so this is from memory). This image was taken in Ultraviolet light of a solar flare. I fixed up the picture as there were obvious places where the data was corrupted when the picture was sent back to earth. I hope you enjoy! wow..it boggles the mind..I'm very glad you remembered the information you did from the source and that you fixed up the pic to send along to us here..reminds me of the power that resides all around us that we take for granted, benefit from and yet will probably never understand. At least we can try to appreciate and celebrate the beauty :)PJ

When I had a look on this I thought "Haa.. How the earth was born" then it looked a bit like FIFA world cup trophy. All in all I enjoyed it, I wish it would be sharper. Nice piece still!

My hardware is Samsung Digimax A503 5MP, so that makes photographing just a hobby for me...
