weird... Are they coming out through that gate? Are they dark ones or light? Or does the absence of light make them dark? cool. And the reds are fantastic in this one.
This is a thought provoking view. I'm not sure if these guys are bad or good. The figures are dark & some with red eyes or glowing ones. The wings, & halos above their heads make me think of angels. But these look more like *fallen angels* and maybe the wings are flames? Also it looks like they are arising from a pit (hell?) with alot of red surrounding them and in the pit below. This is a keeper and is awesome on the desktop. That red looks like velvet and there's good lighting too. Thanks Michael, for stirring up my imagination :^>
I have had this image of yours on my *caedes to do list for quite some time ... it is immensely powerful to me.
Disturbing in some sense, definitely thought provoking ... in a word ... evocative.
And that barely covers my thoughts on this offering of yours.
I kept coming back to see if it would elicit the same level of response and it does. You have very successfully created a incredible mood and feel here.
The only ... only caveats I have and they are more suggestions, as always ... would be to work the reflective surface somewhat more. As is, it creates some visual confusion. If that was your goal ... mission accomplished.
Comparing that surface to the surface and textures of the walls and the rest of the room, IMHO, it doesn't quite measure up. I can understand, however, how you might have wanted to provide a backdrop for your angels so that they are more distinct and definable. Just some thoughts.
I think this is incredible. And I have thought that for a while ... and now ... now, you know. Thanks for sharing your talent.
+fav. It's a very inspirational piece for me, it reminds me to think beyond.
