I feel this way sometimes too, Michael. I'm glad you are able to express these feelings and share them so freely. You're an artist in the truest sense..I'm saving this one for my private collection. You have a way of reaching down and touching your own emotions and sharing them with the world. You're a lucky fellow ....

This is a very moving piece. Passionate even. Great job.

Really impressed with the plant ... I say 'plant', in deference to your creativity and that you once shared with me that reality or realism is not your stated creative objective at times.

The texture is nothing short of amazing. I had to look twice to make sure that this was not a photo with your spin on it, if you will.

Stark, moody ... your piece here is visceral, and that is indeed a good thing.

Are 'we' to take it from your narrative that this is still an ongoing project? Just curious.

The colour contrasts are quite vivid between that of the sky/plant and the terrain itself. Much room for interpretation there.

I think I could sum up my impression in a word ... evocative.

Nice work Michael.

I asked Jesus how much he loved me. He said "this much" then he spread his arms out and died.

Just found this too - I like it. The tree looks very convincing.
