This is Castle Geyser, one of the predited geysers in the Old Faithful Geyser Basin. We were lucky enough to be walking along this particular path when it was due and although we waited a good 50 mins it was well worth the wait and continued to erupt for a at least 5 mins. This along with Grand Geyser which i will be posting soon was my favorite. Although everyone has heard of Old Faithful there are many others that are, in my opinion by far more stunning and beautiful and this was one of them!

With the proper camera and software anything can be beautiful

You must be more patient than me...we didn't get to see castle or grand go off either!! I agree...there are definitely better geysers than Old Faithful.

I agree, there are more beautiful geysers than Old Faithful, but it always makes its appearance. Nice capture of Castle. You got a great display from it.

Ask your Congressmen and Senators why our existing wells aren't pumping more than 3 days a month? There a lot of unused capacity in existing wells.
