So disappointing the day was so dull as this would have looked stunning against the blue sky. However, i have made the best of what i had and present to you Horsey Windpump! I had a good giggle over the name and then took this. Have tried to play with the perspective and composition as much as possible and there is another to come. Comments appreciated :)

You've done well here to deal presentably with some very difficult weather conditions. The composition is fine and the perspective works well - with one exception. Unfortunately due to the low lighting levels, you are losing a lot of detail in the shadows, and where they are showing they are tending to generate green "noise" from mis-registering pixels. You could reveal a little more of the detail by lightening the Shadows in Photoshop, but I fear that then you would just see yet more noise. One resort when faced with such dull grey conditions is to change the ISO setting, if your camera permits you to do so, to something a little more sensitive (for example, if your camera normally shoots in ISO 200, change it to 400). Although the lighting conditions have not been kind to you, in terms of artistic ability this shot is good.
