This is one of the last posts you will see from me for a while. I apologise profusly but im just about to go back to full time teaching and life as i know it is going to end. I love my job but it is all consuming. I will try to visit as often as i can!!! This image was taken from Puzzlewood. It is an area where ancient limestone caves have been uplifted to the surface and then eroded to create this very mystical landscape.

I prefer the other posting over this, why? The other one had such a mystic feel to it, and this one is slightly overexposed on the sky part. We will miss you! ♥♥tigs=^..^=

I agree this is a mystical place. All that is missing is the Elves. LOL!!! Beautiful work.

I would love to get lost in this forest. A nice perspective in the shot, with lovely colours and textures. Have to agree about the overexposed lighting in the sky. The focus is a little too soft as well.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake

First of all, Rachel, we'll miss you. I hope you teach photography because we could all learn a thing or two from you. Unfortunately you probably teach a bunch of brainless brats, juvenile delinquents and feral children who will go on to become notorious criminals.

I can't tell you how delighted I am to see this shot. As much as I've praised your recent postings for being just about flawless, I am so happy to see the overexposed sky on this shot. It gives me hope to see that even you aren't perfect; so I know there's hope for me. If you had cropped the top of the shot to just above the large rock on the left, you could have pulled this off. I'm sorry to break it to you, but we now know that you aren't perfect. I'm heartsick.

P.S. Did I ever tell you the story about me and Suzy Schwartz.....

What a wonderful place to get away from it all. Well done.
