I am reluctant to write a narrative about this one as i am extremely unhappy with it and dont have much positive to say. Thought i would post it so see if other people see the same things i do. Only my first attempt at night photograph so please forgive me! This is Pultney Bridge in the beautiful heritage city of Bath! Come visit, its lovely :)

---i am extremely unhappy with it---

I'm one of the other people, and after viewing your image at full screen size, of course I see minor things that can be improved. But Rachel, please realize that it are just minor things, unless I'm blind. I told you in my comment on your previous post that taking night shots is very difficult. So don't expect that after one or more attempts you can scream: "Eureka."
This night shot however has a lot postive elements as well: the subject is very interesting, the compostion is fine, the reflections are good, and, last but not least, the image creates a moody atmosphere.
If you take my advice, given on your previous post, serious (as far as possible) think the next night shot will be better, and probably your self-confidence as well.

Regards, Cornelius

I have to agree with Mr. C. Rachel, this really is a good image, under such difficult shooting conditions, I like the lighting, and the composition. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Well there are the usual suspects present in night time photography. Not real sure how to fix them in camera myself, outside of trying every camera setting going. I have to agree with Cornelius. Good composition of the scene and a good reflection. An interesting capture of the bridge, though I'm sure it's annoying making that left hand turn from the dining room to the kitchen when driving over the bridge.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake

Are you nuts? This shot is glorious, Rachel. I think those bitches that run your school have taken the wind out of your sails. Like the previous three comments, I could probably scan this for an hour and find a couple of small problems. But I'd give (excuse my French) my left nut to shoot something this great.

P.S. This deserves a "fave" and three gold stars. I'll give you the "fave" now. The gold stars are in the mail.
