Down a busy alley way in the City of Bath. This has been heavily cropped and mostly desaturated as it gave a more contemplative feel to the picture. Black and white looked good but i felt the hint of colour was slightly better. What do you think?

First of all how did you get her to pose for your shot? When I shoot without permission, I get beat up. When I walk up to a stranger and ask permission, they fling their hands in the air, start shrieking uncontrollably and try to run away. They eventually tire after as long as 5 kilometers or die of cardiac arrest. Once they sign the waiver, it's impossible to get them back to the original locale for the shot.

This image is practically perfect in my eyes. If you were shooting for "contemplative", you did an excellent job. Reviewing the downloaded version at 300% zoom, there are only a few minor modifications I noticed which do not really detract from the shot.

I would have cloned out the two nipples in the glass in the lower right. Is that you in the bulky coat on the far right in the reflection? Faves for me and nominated to the AC.

I think the hint of color adds great eye-appeal to this photo. I agree with Roger's comment about the window 'nipples' being a distraction and I'd personally hesitate to have the person facing out of the photo for reasons of cohesive composition, but I think you've managed to make the whole thing work beautifully despite that. The white window reflections seem to serve as an eye-stopper arresting visual flow to the outside left.

A good urban snapshot, Rachel. Good clarity, details and textures in the photo. Nice selective colouring of the scene and great post work on the shot.
