OK so here begins a few in a series which i was striving to remain as unedited as possible. I want to go back to my roots and rely on my skills with the camera rather than what i can do on the computer so here it is. I have cropped about an inch of sky and smoothed out the noise but in terms of contrast, exposure, levels, colour saturation etc it remains untouched! Please be kind, im learning!

Rachel, I think this unedited work is very good, in my humble opinion. Very good sky exposure, and the well composed. Splendid!

Majestic scene here! My opinion, it has a nice balance of sky and rock. It's so easy and tempting to play with the controls to improve the look but there is also something to be said for just having the right light at the right time. Good job!

This is lovely Rachel. It captures the rugged character of this beautiful landscape. I like how you have included not just the rocks near you, but the distant landscape too. Great shot - fav'd and thank you for sharing!

I was about to say what a total piece of crap this is, but then I decided to be kind. :-)

Just kidding. I understand what you're trying to do, and I even understand why. Basically I consider photo software just another tool in the creation of the images; so I rarely post unedited shots...mostly because I have a blast playing with the software as much as I enjoy trudging around the countryside looking for good shots.

For an unedited shot, you've done an admirable job, Rachel. With just a touch of editing, you could have posted this.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

A nice composition and interesting scene, Rachel. Good textures and colours in the photo. The focus could be sharper and the foreground lighting more dynamic.
