I love this! Such a pose! This is not exactly the sort of photo people usually take of a giraffe, so it's going onto my hard drive.

I come from a very tall family. Once when I was complaining how everything is too short for us, from broom handles to kitchen counters and sinks, my son showed me how he does dishes: he stands with his legs far apart, which lowers his height to something more comfortable. I tried it and it worked; my back got much less sore. When I asked him how he had ever thought of standing that way, he said, "From watching giraffes drink on TV."
