Ohhhh these are always beautiful !! Snappy snapdragons...do you "open" their little "mouths" too? I've done that since I was a kid and most adults still have fun with it. I wrote a poem once "My Colouring Book" so I thought you might enjoy reading it...
My Coloring Book
colour me blue as the skies
on a periwinkle day
when the sun shines in
colours of banana yellow
and the grass gleams
in shades of Paris green
colour my world in flames
of ruby and scarlet
take the passionate purple
and paint the lilies and lilac
with amethyst and violet
then brush the pages
with chinese red along
with cinnabar and brick red
colour tastes of lemon
and saffron with chartreuse
find the evening sunset
and stroke that with fiery
orange and brilliant plum
colour my days with
the browns of a chestnut tree
and the caramel colour
of your beautiful eyes
paint night skies of cobalt blue
dabbed with ebony black
then a moon of golden fire
and the stars of yellow ochre
colour my eyes with
reflections of yours
and brush my cheeks with
blushing flamingo pink
let the dawn enter the day
with trembling sunshine
so I can greet another day
the world has been painted
in purpled nights and red days
and with each single sunset
I am reminded that this is
my very own book to colour
and I can paint as I wish

Well howdy do howdy do, this is great Randy better than anything man made. Creation is such a wonderous thing and you captured it perfectly. Nice job and thanks for sharing buddy.
What a display of colors that Mother Nature has given you to capture and bring to us Randy. Is this in your garden? I love snapdragons. They were my favorite as a child......I used to love to 'open their mouth's'......you can still catching me doing it today. Several of the kids do it and I notice that they are passing it on to my grandkids as well. A fine tradition, it is....eh?
Your color, your contrast, your quality your composition are all A+ here. This went right to my desktop where I can admire it for quite awhile as well as letting it bloom in my favorite;s folder on my harddrive so I can run it in my screensaver slideshow program! Thanks for sharing this with us :~)
