My suspicion would be a thing where fly larvae vegetate ...
Only the ones I know are darker brown.
Yours, Randy, look more substantial and more decorative !!! LOL
A great 'growth' Randy, whatever it is ;) Looks really nice against the browntones and has terrific clarity and composition. It looks great full screen as well.
I've been off visiting my brother in Arizona and hope to catch up soon. I enjoy every single post that you my friends put out here and even though I can’t seem to find enough time to comment on each individual one, know that I've looked at all of them. I truly enjoy seeing all of the beauty we share from around the world and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks everyone, Anita
It almost looks like a egg sac from a wood spider. Wood spiders can be dangerous they don't have a poisonous venom however there venom has known to cause a very serious infection and quickly. These spiders do get on the large side I believe their bodies get up to a "1" to 2 inches in diameter. around 3 to 4 inches with legs. This capture is a very interesting capture and you did a great job.
Always remember - follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead to the Emerald City and OZ...... A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there ....... The Lion................................. My Groovyville Gallery
All right I won't ask :)
But will say this is a great picture - clarity is perfect. And now I will be wondering all nith just what this little fungi/spider eggsac/ could be. That frame is super duper.
I am quite sure It's an 'Oak-Apple'...this is what we call these....Little tiny balls that grow and cling to the oak's leaves....they vegetate into the Acorn.....Howz that from a useless 'know-all' eh!.......
Oh, great close-up shot mate!
This is so warm and interesting. The leaves look so crunchy - the colours are beautifully caught by you. So well done and a treat for me to save and savour!
