On a recent trek on Chinook Pass, just after crossing the Ohanaceposh River I stumbled on to this beast!! He charged but I tossed out a rubber mouse and he ran away!! Wait, wait, wait...that don't sound right. ~re-looks at pic~ Oh yeah, we're still at the St. Louis Zoo, my bad. 8~D

We might have been at different zoos at the same time! I was at Toronto Zoo on the 22nd. You? Nice pic. He looks like he's about to charge and stomp you to death.

Impressive, and I like your first version best :)You "captured" it in a nice stance, could be in the wild.

I'm not sure, but that looks like a very long trunk on this fellow. Maybe he's been doing some trunk stretching exercises. He's massive and appears to be headed your way. Nice shot, Randy.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

It wasn't the mouse Randy...it was you. I teasin I teasin. Nice pic. I'm on my way up there right now, I heard there were Hippos in the river. Gotta get me some nice pics like this one. Nice work. Not a Hippo you say? Oh nay nay...it's a Gypsy Hippo...you can tell them by the fact they are carrying a trunk.

All the jokes have been taken, your tale was taken away, all I can say is that I hope he's headed to the river to take a bath!! I've never seen the freckled nose variety before. !!
