Here's the original version of Striking Distance !!

Hey!! I told ya not to touch it!!

Strong jaws and fast feet are what make centipedes such deadly predators. They are nocturnal, and hunt by feel, turning quickly and attacking without the slightest hesitation. Some species may reach 12 inches in length, and ALL possess potent venom!!

Classification: Chilopoda...Range: American Southwest

Is that what that is ?? I have one of those under my bed........seems harmless enough.....I can hear him shuffling around at night......that's when the dog jumps on the bed. LOL Quite unique looking and yes....I'll bet he's got a bite like a scorpion.

It reminds me of a psych-ee-delic version of a seaworm, which we use as bait to fish for flounder in the tidal estuaries on the Cape... they can deliver a nasty bite too! This is the prettiest creepy crawly I think I've ever seen.
