This is one of the tintypes I mentioned in my little bio. This is from my own personal collection. One of the cool things about tintypes is that there are no duplicates, in other words each tintype is one of a kind. I baught this one in a little antique shop in the next town over. I had to work with this one quite a lot in PhotoFilter. It was too dark and had some imperfections on it. When I look at my tintypes, I like to wonder about the people in them. What are their names, what did they do. Let me know what you think.

I like this a lot Tosha! Like you I do wonder what she was thinking about when this was taken. She doesn´t look to happy. Perhaps she has been standing ther posing for a looong time and got tired of it :-) I know it took a long time to get a photo back then. Very nice work on this!

You did a fine job on this. I love the old fashions. She looks mean and reminds me of the bad witch in Wizard of Oz.

Wonderful view back in time. My grandfather shared some of these the last time I saw him. He said, "I don't remember who they all are, but they're your relatives". : ) Many of them had these stern expressions, made me wonder dual thoughts as well... Thank you for sharing it.

Not to be cruel, but she looks like the wicked witch of the west...lol...These are quite the photos to look at though! I have a photo like this type of my grandma and grandpa. They show so much detail! A beautiful capture and work!

Nice job on the restoration. I have been working on some of these for my grandparents. They take a lot of time to get them looking nice, but worth every minute. Thank you for sharing. ~Kim

That woman looks like she would be a pleasure to be around. LOL. Nice work, Tosha. I like to play around with restoration, too. It's challenging.
