Sun and rain make for such incredible photography opportunities. :) This is a digital macro of an oblong-winged katydid. These guys do sing, but I think he was a little put-off by the unexpected shower!

This was a joy to see. Took me a moment, I was thinking B&W picture from a 1940's movie, then I saw the green and thought, oh, just grass in the rain, then I saw the eye. Nice when that happens - to suddenly see - wood for trees etc....

First up I couldn't see him, when I did he is pretty cool. The water droplets and the beautiful green make this work, the difficulties of dof with macros are the only downside.
