Nice work Jonathan, I think the image looks a lots better with the boat gone. But your original looked great also.

Fabulous rework on the cloning Jonathan, does look a lot better then the orginal. This is really an AMAZING close up and he's a great looking pelican.

I prefer the boat. The boat sets the scene for the image more. It tells us this is a fair sized body of water and not just a small pond and it helps give the bird his air of indifference because he has his head turned away from it completely. Still a gorgeous shot either way. I did notice that you straightened it a little too.

No question in my mind ... you've got a beautiful close-up of this impressive bird, ... the boat added nothing to the image and was a distraction. Nice job in removing it ... Great job capturing this Pelican.
