The lighting is working really good here IMHO. Shooting against the light (or does my eyes betray me?) can be tricky but you handled it well. There is a speck of dust on the right top petal that makes me wonder if it was scanned but I guess it could have been like that on the flower too.
Hehe. I didn't think of it being on the lens... My first reaction is always that it could be scanned when I see those kind of artefacts. I just didn't think it looked like it actually was on the flower. ^_^
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

"Oh!!....your welcome." This one is very nice - and your "When Cacti Flower" is very nice too. You got the touch alright. I will be enjoying looking forward to your collection.
Hello John,
I was just browsing through your fine gallery again and chose this one say: wonderful capture!
Perfect control over the light, you really made something extraordinary out of a not so ordinary flower!
Well done, cheers!
Found this beauty in the voting booth. I too thought it was a Caedes orchid. The inner area is perfect & pops out of this orchid. I like the creamy color with the pale pinkish/purple petals. Wish I had a garden full of these!
