Hey Jan,
I like the subtle light on the chimney, makes it look mysterious but still real,
Lovely sky, like the colors,
Beautifully done,

Thanks for sharing
Kind regards

I like this one ... really quite different. What I first thought from the thumbnail was an attractively colored silhouette, turned out to have quite a bit of detail hidden within, when enlarged. Sharp as well when the birds are looked at closely. I like the "eerie" color to the sky and think the black frame suits the image perfectly. Why do I keep thinking of Edgar Allen Poe? :) Job well done Jan

Jan, reading your narrative, I assume, but don't hope, the UK (including the Tower) is in some problems now, lol. Love this image because of it's special atmosphere! Well done! Regards, Cornelius

They carry the lamenting spirits of the dead away and then return. If they don't return they lost their way and the spirits will wander there forever. I made that up. LOL :) Nice one Jan.

Very interesting post. Raven flying away resembles bat because of his motion. Chimney looks like it has eyes and looking right at me. The silhouette effect is superb. I think Cowardly is on to something. Very poetic what he said. Yes Edgar Allen would love this. So do I.

How on EARTH did you get the mortar to show up bright when the image is so dark? And who shot that raven on the right?

Fabulous.

I had this in the VB and had to come check it out again. Really interesting. It has a sort of macabre feeling to it. The ravens probably have a lot to do with that; but the coloring certainly adds to the effect. Very well done indeed.

I agree with Nigel about the detail you captured on the bricks in this silhoette. Did you darken it in editing to get that? (it was you who shot the bird!- and did a mighty fine job of it too!) I love the eerie sky color (or colour in British, lol) A very unique and wonderful capture Jan! Really suits the mood of the season too! I'm saving this one :)

Hi Jan, I thought the wings of the ravens were clipped so they can not escape. Has this bird lost the will to live and just took a nose dive?
