I took this at the weekend on my gad around Suffolk with Sir Nigel at a bird reserve at Minsmere. It was a cool place, however our zoom lenses were seriously lacking, so dont be expecting any bird shots, thats all im saying on that subject! lol Infared converted canon eos 350d.

A great job on the infared very well captured. Your zoom lens was lacking??.That kinda sound like a personal problem. Maybe you could get closer to the birds.
Very well done

Old fences. Hmmm. We should take care to mend them, eh? This one sure can't hold back the beauty of those wonderful grasses that lie beyond. Beautiful imagery.

It's a super scene!! What really stands out is how there seems to be a footpath beyond, yet, the gate blocks you from moving onward!!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

I love this effect Jan. It's like a dream sequence from Lord of the Rings.

The other fence line acts like a guide arrow, directing the eye further into the scene. A very nice piece of work Jan.

The grass always looks more infrared on the other side of the fence. Old Cheyenne saying. Great post Jan.

This reminds me of something from a classic silent movie western film. Very beautiful.

This is lovely, Jan. I love the perpendicular directions of the fence lines and the way the growth has seemingly taken over the area. Great post -

Lovely treatment of this one Jan, full of atmosphere and texture as all the best B&Ws are. Kind of a subtle infra, it works really well with all the delicate lines of the grasses against the angles of the gate.

Hi Jan, this is a great shot! When I look longer to it, it getting kind of unreal or - like someone above said - taken from a dream. Great job! Thanks for that.
