A look at my home.. hmmm think I might have to do some renovations.. LOL.. a typical aussie home? LOL.. in the convict days they lived in homes like this.. nestled in between gum trees on the banks of the creek, river or billabong... Enjoy

What a sad, lonely & poignant image ! My heart just aches looking at this picture. You've got a great eye Jacqueline, for portraying a mood.

Jacqueline - From the laundry you can tell some rich and powerfull individual has secured this dwelling for a retreat. Soon the area will be developed, and condo/shacks will be everywhere. Can I get one on a timeshare? Nice fun shot. Thanks. Please do more.

I love old places like this. When I run across and old cabin or building, I always wonder what it would be like to go back in time and see what the people were like that called these places home. Thanks for sharing this with us!

its a great house, has aircon (hole in the roof), no windows to clean, and just a quick sweep of the floor.. and the housework is done.. =D

Louisiana is still filled with tons of these in the bayou country....yup no housework here...just a few undies to wash and thats it..caN do that in the nearby snakefilled streams..and ya can make a firepit in the middle of the house with rocks...got plenty of wood to cut down..ok ok enough eh? It is a bit sad people had to live like this..but at least it is a sort of home..I do like that you took this picture and I like the way the sun is everywhere, it kinda tells how hot it must have been right then...

Wow, I love the simplicity of the life you captured here. As sad as it seems to us, these people have few worries. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live like this. Your eye was right on this day Jac. I might have done a bit of post-editing, your hot sun was doing it's number to your lighting conditions :). It still goes into my fav;s on my harddrive to be enjoyed in the cold of my winter here!
Thanks for visiting ~cardinal country~. Happy to have cooled you down ma'm! The snow was incredible and my camera kept focusing on the snowflakes, not to mention the feathered friends of mine were hopping around to stay warm. The snow is all gone now though. I am glad you liked the framing. I debated on that for a bit. Your continued support, comments & critique are deeply appreciated. Thank you my friend :~)

Hey, I'd live there, as long as there was air conditioning, haha. Not likely right. Any way , it looks like a cute little spot to vacation at, or well, to live in, if you like the old school way of doing things. I am much inclined to this but have become a little too citified. One day perhaps. Very nice photograph!

Put this shack in the Rocky Mountains, and I would contact a realator to find out how much. Nice shot.
