Some images don't work well with the Orton effect, and I have yet to find one of my own that I was satisfied with when I had finished, but you've done a truly pretty job with the effect, and now I'm beginning to think it's not the effect...it's me. Oh well...I'm glad somebody knows how to use it to good effect.

*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!* Dunstickin's Gallery

I think it turned out really good J!! This is a great image to convert in Orton's. A wee harsh...I always adjust my levels and curves first then go into Orton's. I've also found the blur at about 12 to 15 seems to come off best, but that's just me. Do a lot of the same one, try 10, 15, 20 & 25 and then pick which you like best. Again, I think it turned out grand!! Beauty of a place!!

The Ortons gives a lovely mystical softness to this.
I have had some horrible failures with it - you certainly have the knack.
Foofified and beautified, but of course you had a great photo to begin with.Nice work :)

This is a very soft and lovely picture. A success for your use of Orton. I might have lowered the white just a little--just a thought.
