A neolithic burial chamber. Although little is known about this structure, it's strange to think that this could be many 1000's of years old, although the foxglove in the foreground is more recent.W4°05'55.2" & N52°50'11.22"

Here's the set of this chamber: Gwern Einon 1, Gwern Einon II, Gwern Einon III

The bright, fresh foxglove set off those ancient, lichen-covered stones perfectly. I am always amazed that primitive people would spend so much energy hoisting these great stones around. There must have been great dedication and leadership to accomplish something like this...because (this would be my guess) no-one's caloric intake was much above the survival level....and so their personal welfare could have been jeopardized by participating in this kind of effort.
Oh...and I like the longitude and latitude figures...not that it will do me any good. :)

Places like this always fascinate me about our long ago ancestors... I like the bright dabs of color the flowers give this image of mostly grey and green.

It's amazing that the rock on top stays put. I like the splash of color that the flowers give to the otherwise green and gray of the scene. Great job!

So simple and effective. I like how the flowers draw the eye away from the rocks which are awesome as well. Well captured.
