Sunrises (and settings) are popular postings on Caedes. This is a little experimentation with a long 15-second exposure, using the auto-timer shutter release(to reduce wobble when my fat fingers press the shutter) and resting the camera on a post on a balcony (tripod? - Pah). Apart from the blistering moon burning a hole in the sky, I thought this was a passable experiment to share with you.

Great experiment, really strong moonrise, almost as a sun. I like it very much.

I am always experimenting with moonshots. Very moody, I like the details in the darkness.

Wow! What a lovely capture. The moonlight reflection on the water is breath-taking. Infact the whole scene is wonderfully presented. Well done!

Just like satin...and the reflections of the moon and the lights in the distance are superb! Also that neat red tree trunk on the lower right. The best part is the moonlit water shining through the foreground bush. Nice job!

Very nicely done. To help with the moon you can do two different shot at different exposures and then put the moon into your shot without it being overexposed like that.

Hello John...This is very good indeed....It is also nice to see you have a foreground in the scene which gives it impact....I am always experimenting with my camera,it is the only way to learn....A shot like this one I may have used an expopsure of 10sec at f/22 iso 100 and a lens 17-40mm mounted on a tripod.....Well done....All the best to you John........Mick.
