You have this knack of uncovering places that mean a lot to me John. I grew up in Walsall so visited Cannock Chase lots of times as a kid. You made it look very dramatic in this one!

Is Cannock Chase the city in the distance? It almost sounds as if it were a piece of fox-hunting land, or maybe a steeplechase racecourse. This is an outstanding picture....my eye travels from the dark sky and the water-filled cloud on the diagonal to the sunlit flower and grass in the lower right...all anchored by the tall tree and focused by the cloud. Beautiful landscape shot.

The dark sky and voluminous clouds, makes for a very dramatic and somewhat eerie scene! When my eyes look to the foreground, I get a totally different feeling... one of calmness. Fantastic atmospheric capture, John!
