The only real problem I see is the harsh lighting on a few green leaves. If you can clone, you can darken spots like this by cloning from other darker green leaves at a low opacity. I have used this method many times on my posts. It takes some practice, but it works. With that said, this shot would still be acceptable by any FTD Florist for a brochure.

John, by you posing those questions tells me that you have thought a lot about the possibilities with this shot. I found the question concerning if the peony was too low in the frame, interesting. I had not noticed this and went back to look. With your question in mind, I wondered how your picture would look with the peony moved up, say to the right, just a bit. An interesting thought.

It is very rare that I use flash for blooms John!....I like to see the depth that that shadows create!...The composition and set-up is excellent and there's not a problem with the colours!

I'd like to see this taken without the flash....(If they ain't died off yet!)
