This is my favorite view.

That's the 'Hagley Monument' upon the top of the hill. The large woody area to your left is 'Wychbury Hill Fort', an iron-age earth works and just below it (hidden by the larger bushy growth in the front centre) is a burial mound. As far as I know, it's never been disturbed. Therefore, some have speculated that it's the last resting place of King Arthur, but I think that's more to do with those that would market the myth.

I think it's a good candidate for the last resting place of Queen Boudicca. The account of her demise against the romans suggests that the early Britons were trapped between the valley sides (which could have been between Clent and Walton Hills to the right of the view). There are a number of roman road (now just tracks) that transect this area and conveniently lead to local ale houses (so worth a stroll Bob).

Then to the right of the view (just about discernible above that dark tree) is the Temple of Theseus. Both the temple and the monument are follies of a former lord of the manor. More views at the Panoramio site.

I got a few too...but they are called 'Benches'!...lol

Yeah..a place I could wander..and thanks for the pub info too!...
