I've been admiring Sandi's Dragon Fly images and wondering when I'd see something similar in my neck of the woods (literally).

So when I returned to my mushrooms in the ravine, I was kneeling down to open up the tripod and found a dead dragon fly right next to my knee. A first casualty of Saturday nights' frost.

You might consider this to be a manipulation, as I placed the bug on the mushroom cap.

You gave the dragonfly a beautiful resting place. An amazing photo. Did a great job with this.

Nicely "arranged" John. It looks really good siting there like that. Well done.

You either have to give it "the kiss of life" or a bite out that magic mushroom!...

Nice work pal..

Great shot, it's quite possible that the dragon was already there. Nice close up.

Nice arrangement and composition, John. Very interestingly you've put this dragonfly on the mushroom without breaking some parts. Good hands and nerves. :)

The mushroom is a nice choice to highlight his details. Wow, frost in Sept sounds so surreal! They sometimes call them Skeeter Hawks around here. : )
