Ok, not the best shot, but I thought it worth sharing.
I'm open to suggestions as to how to capture an owl in flight in early evening light.

While probrably not technicaly correct I love it. It shows great action and the colors are good for the low light as well.

I think it's a great attempt. Looks like the owls were getting nervous with that big camera of yours, lol.

A nice action shot, John. I like the composition of the photo. Try switching to shutter priority mode and use a fast shutter speed and continuous shooting. You might end up with a usable frame or two.
