This is one of those time when you experiment with all sorts of features on Google Picasa; fiddling with the options that comes with the software, to see if you can turn a sows ear in to a silk purse.

This was messing about with that 'pencil sketch' feature; usually a loathsome gimmick.

However, I was looking for something to give this picture the look as though I'd developed it in a dark room with slightly exposed paper. Going old school without all that bother with developer and fixer. Nope don't miss it one jot and I rather liked the outcome.
