The Church itself, looks to be worthy of some more investigation on it's own architectural merits. Perhaps, if I may suggest ... take a look at the architectural galleries for some inspiration in presentation and for some further ideas.
Clarity is good, composition still needs a bit of attention. And that said, without the benefit of being there in the shot. The natural framing provided by the trees is a nice touch, however, it does obscure part of your viusal 'message' here in this one, I think. Again, my humble opinion.
I would agree, wholeheartedly ... that the 'contrast' you present to us ... is indeed, eye catching.
Having been there, you have done a marvelous job with what his available. The Russian orthodoxy has done a miraculous job of restoring these beautiful sibor. Some of these were reduced to stables during the Stalin years. Truly a gem shining amid the Brezhnev architecture.
After these exotic icing sugar buildings how did the Russian people live with the dirty grey blocks of the Communist era? The world needs a lot more extravagant expressions of imagination. They affect us like the sun rising.
