This natural free standing giant stone egg rests atop Old Rag, Virginia's premier hiking destination. I thought the sky was particularly amazing in contrast with the rock. This image has not been photoshopped in any way aside from resizing.

Very nice shot. One of the few times, where the central positioning doesn't detract from the overall composition.. A minor touch of Negative gamma, does increase the visible detail, in the lighter areas of the rock and just a touch of sharpen. It is acceptably sharp, but a touch more, increases the impact. Very well done.

Fantastic scenic view. That giant stone is magnificent propped on the other rocks. I guess as long as they never have an earthquake, it will stay up there. The details are good showing the rough texture, and the contrast between the top and bottom. The clear ultra blue sky makes a lovely background for this strange stone. This should get high marks - thanks for this beauty :^*>

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images. I might be lurking in the background :)

This is a very nice image! Perhaps get rid of the Sand Pine, and sharpen the image a little in post-processing, however this is just superb!I like the center oriented shot - you have one subject, it's more than OK to put it in the middle.

P.S.- No rules here, this isn't a game! (Re:central positioning) :P : ) :)

"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better" - Albert Einstein - Rules are for those who always follow the rules; there are no rules in photography because this isn't a game but an art! :P -Me-
