The shadows almost look like there is a fence across the bottom of the photo. I like the depth to the shot.

Ok, took me a moment to put my finger on it.. the leading line of the top of the tree line and then that of the vertical lines of the trunks of the trees.

Creates a bit of unease.. for lack of better wording.

Maybe "unease" isn't quite apt.
There's definitely, for me, a very visceral feeling when viewing your image here. As, has happened with a couple of others of yours.

Call that.. mission accomplished.

Well, I believe this is one of my most favorite of your photos, there is just something that speaks to me, don't understand it, but it is like you have gone through some portal (is that like science fiction?) and you find these amazing locations and then work your magic. Fav.
