This shot was taken in the first week of October at Beaver Lake Nature resort in upstate N.Y. I think they should change the name to "Goose Lake"! Check out the Canadian Geese flooding this place. It must be a resting area on their way down South. The sounds were intense and more flocks came in over head, and straight forward in the distance. The quality isn't the best but check it out in full view. No enhancements have been made here.. Enjoy this once a year spectacle on me!

Someone's going to want to go out there and hunt...I can feel it coming up!! I think that you're right on the edge of the flyway. Great shot and what a joy to experience!!

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon

Oh my gosh, look at them all. Perfect example you have here of the beauty of upstate NY. I took a trip up there too just today and it was stunning.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
