This is not the sun, it's a cloud. A color spectrum in the clouds, made when the sun beams reflect onto hexagram shaped ice crystals that form and fall flat. These things don't hang around long, so when I saw this on my way out for a drive I pulled right over to take the shot.

This is a really good one. I have seen these on Caedes, but never have I seen one for real. Thanks for posting this, Jay. The capture is excellent.
