Here is a tribute to my late Grandfather, Jim Underwood. He was a photographer for the United States Army in WW2. His legacy lives on through his writtings and photos as a journalist for a local magazine after the war. This is a picture of a picture. Taken from a display my Grandmother made at our 100th Family Reuion get together. Just thought it would be cool to share with all of you photo buffs out there. Maybe someone can give me the info on the camera he is using. It seems to be one of the first cam corders. Looks like he's documenting snowmoblies coming down the road in Fabius N, Y. where he lived for most of his life. Thanks for having a look into the past with my Gramps!

Thanks for sharing this. I don't have a clue what kind of camera he's using, but I like that viewfinder. I could use one of those!

So you've got it in your genes, huh? I guess I should have known that.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

That's a really neat photo of your grandpa. Maybe a fellow photographer took it. That's a really neat looking camera he's holding too. It looks like a 'movie' camera to me. That's what we used to call video cameras way back when though I wasn't born yet when this was taken. That looks like a pretty nice collage your grandmother put together too. Thanks for letting us into this little part of your past.
