Just going for something a bit differnt. I've always appreciated grainy, old looking photos. Take my hero; Simon Marsden for instance. This isn't a "true" infrared photo, but I found a nice tutorial that helped me get pretty close. (Without taking apart my DOS and hacking into the circuit board.) This is merely a greyscale with diffuse glow and a few other "tweeks". Any comments or suggestions are always welcomed.

A very interesting tree with lots of detail in the bark especially. I think some of the software programs have an option to convert to infrared, but the way you did it must be the way the option does it too.

I like the grainy detail. I wish it were more infrared-y, with a darker sky. This is a nice old looking photo.
