Forget about 3rds, how about 16ths?
Under a Weeping Willow on a cold Winter's day.
Straight from the camera using a modified monochrome setting and slightly underexposed. Dodge and burn tools applied on foreground.

I just had this in VB and wanted to stop by and tell you that I rarely give a 10 for images here, but you just got one from me. Beautiful image and very well composed. I love the soft tones and the mood it sets. Very well done and I hope to see many more. Congrats.
I love the tones in this. I really love your willingness to try something different. This is a very appealing image, Jay. I think it's a combination of the gracefulness of the willow branches hanging down to meet the tops of the distant trees and the color tones you have created with your toolbox of ideas.
This is magnificent Jay!!! A most professional and natural photo. So much to enjoy in it. This would be an awesome poster
in some museum of art. You've put this together so perfectly.
Framing is fantastic. And the depth, looking thru the Willow into the rest of the sky clouds. Wow. And the land part is just awesome too. Bravo on this, it is totally perfect!! Verena
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
