The original can be viewed here ...I used an old image taken about 100 years ago of the inside of one of the many silk processing plants in my home town of Paterson, N.J...which in its day, was a booming textile town. The industry has long since dissappeared from there...and the area has seen better days...

Man, what was so good about the good old days, eh? Most interesting piece of history, Ron and very nicely presented. Now, get back to work! :)) - Patty

I love sewing, weaving, crafting... so this picture really speaks to me. I like the sepia tones and the contrasting, more modern, squares in the background. Nice work Ron!

Very interesting to see the birth of the industrial revolution and the beginnings of the women's movement. Is that over yet? Nice presentation and I like the sepia version.

Good shot. It was a lot of work, just taking a photograph back then.
